is there any new updates for the att ir ? I heard about balck out pics ? because I drive 1 1/2 hrs each way to my hunting area. also the bearsafe needs another lock on the top of it because you can pop it open in no time !!!!

Yes, a new f/w update is availalbe at www.cuddeback.com. Click <support> <firmware update> and then select Attack IR. Copy the *.fw file to your SD card and then follow the instructions in the PDF that is online. The update takes less than 1 minute. Some of the changes are: improved video and JPG, more accurate battery indication, when in Guard Duty mode the camera will take motion-actived images at night (with a 15 second delay for IR & a 60 second delay for flash model), and if video is enbled with a short camera delay the camera will re-arm 5 seconds after the video completes (factory f/w waited 30 seconds).

Right click the file and select Save As.... If you left click it won't work and you will get the generic browser 404 error. If you are using a MAC with a 1-button mouse this won't work. I am not sure how to tell a MAC to download the file. If you are using a MAC let us know and we will get an answer from our web-geeks on Monday.

I use MAC, 1-finger click auto-downloaded to download folder. The 2-finger click gave download options.

Cuddebacks I have or have had: C1000 (2), Capture (2) and the Attack.
I updated my Attack IR with new FW, how do I check what is really on the camera, it should disply FW installed. I took out the battery and reinstalled so it should disply the new FW and it shows "C001", do i need the dial in Menu mode?
I also have a Attack IR and I am getting some blacked out pics. Its not the bat.s there new and I updated with the new software also. I am using a sandisk sd cards one is 8g one is 1g. It happened with the 8g card, new card also. I have had the cam about a week. Also cant veiw my videos on my computer. The vids are there but cant play them. Would really like some help this is my first cuddeback cam, I thought they were better than this, or is it just the price? Also if you want to see some of the blacked out pics Ill send some.
I am thinking about buying an Attack IR. Have these issues been resolved in the newer ones sitting on the shelf today?
I have two (2) Attack IR's - both take horrible pics on 15 second setting - most pics have blurred movement - is there a resolution setting?
