cuddeback has not been reliable

I have used cuddeback for years includding the excite. I purchased 4 additional IR's last spring and not one has been reliable. Problems I have experienced have been no pics , camera locked up, white pictures at night, pic every 30 sec. until battery is dead, stuck on armed dwell. very frustrating.It has also become a hassle to return camera for service, can't send you pics if none are taken, also who wants to spend 200$ to ship back and wait for return. No longer a fan, hope attacks are better. regards new ******** consumer

Cuddeback is having a problem with their Attack model cameras this year. They will get the problem fixed eventually. Other than the Attacks, Cuddeback cameras are excellent.

I gotcha. Have you installed the latest firmware on your cameras?

the cameras were new in 2011 and have current firmware

i have three captures and love them...i had probs also in the beginning years back...not now though......i hated my cuddeback ir ambush....i would get lots of black photos and maybe show a deer up close at night..i sent it back and getting a flash ambush....flash is still the best out there...

For the most part, can't complain on the performance from my Attack IRs. A few quirks here & there, but I'm sure other brands are the same way (some worse than others).

We have12 trail cameras from 4 different manufacturers and the only problems we have had are with the Cuddebacks. One has been fixed and two have been repaced. One was sent in for replacement on 9/19 and I still have no idea where the new one is. When the camera (Attact Flash) is working right the picture is outstanding but between washed out pictures, or black pictures, or 400 repeat pictures of nothing, and a repair dept that does not pride itself on speed, I am not convinced I will buy another.....
