The firmware file is called "universal" in that it contains the latest firmware for all of the actively supported cameras rolled into one zip file. There is a text file (FirmwareMap.txt) that is inside of the zip file that explains which firmware applies to what cameras and it states:
C, E, G cameras: cdy_1200_6_0_0 is file cdy_1200_1_0_0.fw ***
F Series cameras: cdy_1286_4_2_0 is file cdy_1286_1_0_0.fw ***
F Pro series: cdy_2100_4_0_0 is file cdy_2100_1_0_0.fw ***

So the first of the three files is for the G models (Cuddelink) version 6.0. You don't have to unzip this file or anything else. Just copy it onto your SD card and follow the instructions for loading firmware and you should be good to go. The camera will automatically know which of the three files to load.
