Yes,I love the feature on my old Expert's. Once you turn the camera off, you have to put in your code otherwise it will not operate. When you change batteries or when doing a card pull, you have to put in your code to operate the camera.

As long as it actually locked the camera and it could not be used I think it would be a good idea, but would a thief know that camera has a code and deter them? If anything at least they would not be able to use it.
