Well I thought I would give the new Attack IR a try and against my better judgement I bought one. I will explain a little better about my past with Cuddeback. I first bought a No Flash and then 2 Captures. The No Flash died after a couple months and cudde CS wouldnt honor the warrenty they wanted me to pay them another $100 to upgrade to a Capture. So that cam went in the trash can because at the same time one of my captures started eating batteries and I mean fast....same thing pay them more money for a refurb unit....nevermid the freakin thing was still under warrenty. The other Capture I sold on Ebay. So after all that headache and absolute lack of customer service i was dumb enough to buy an Attack.

The pictures are horrible and the narrow detection range misses a ton of deer just as my old ones did. All it takes is for the deer not to walk directly in front of the cam and you have no picture. Other cams the have wide angle PIR detection will get you pics of these deer. Anywho my Attack has a broken dial. It just spins around in circles and changes nothing. Not to mention the little hole in the front became a new home for a hoard of fire ants and the IR array has water standing in it. Let me give all that read this review before it gets deleted a little advice. Before you buy a cam of any kind please read the reviews before you purchase it. I also didnt realize the warrenty was only 180 days!!!! i see they have attempted to correct it and extend this period but only since it caused such an uproar. As I said before please read the reviews on Bass Pro and Cabelas from customers. Also be sure to check out **********.com....these guys call it as they see it and they even found the same issue with the ants as I did. They are an unbiased site as they dont sell trail cams also so their is no fear on fixing the review to gain a profit.

Not sure what your talking about my friend. I have the Attack IR, had it for a few months the night video's are decent but the daytime pics and video are great. Night pics are as good if not better than the other cameras. Maybe you just got a bad one. I hope I dont eat my words but so far I'm satisfied!

Cuddebacks warranty policy is very clear if it was within the warranty period they would not ask you to upgrade for $100-since you haven't owned your attack for 180 days or 18 months(warranty if registered online) have you contacted cuddeback support? you will get better and quicker service that way. please email one of your horrible images to support@cuddeabck.com.
also---********** is anything but unbiased!!!

Anyone who thinks the web-site review is unbiased needs to think again. Check out the facts at http://cuddeback.com/pdf/TechNotes/Website_Reviews.pdf
We warrant all cameras we sell. If warranty service was denied the product was out of warranty or we did not get a valid sales receipt.
We will glady replace any defective Attack. But, we have to get the camera back to do so. We can't service what we don't have. Attack warrany is 18 months for registered products - no sales receipt required. Doesn't get any easier that that.
As for wide-view vs narrow-view sensors, we recommend reading http://cuddeback.com/pdf/TechNotes/Motion_Sensors.pdf

I have been a die hard cuddeback user for the past 6 years and i know that all cams have a problem now and then but that's not my problem with cuddeback, it is with there customer service our the lack of, I have been on hold for 1hr and 38min and still not talked to one person and by the way no 1-800 number, I was just trying to find out how to send my 2 no-flash cams back and up grade to the attack irs but if this is what cuddeback calls customer service I think I will give my business to a company that will at least answer the phone and has a 1-800 number.
